Open City Docs Festival
In late June Michael Stewart of the Nationalism Studies program organised the second annual international documentary festival under this rubric. The festival, which always has a strong central and eastern European element, promotes and celebrates the contribution of documentary film to public debate. It was founded, in 2011, in order to use these kinds of film and the conversations that can be created around them to make audiences and scholars debate what kind of world we currently live in and what kind of world we would want to live in.
